On January 13, 2019, the traditional Winter School of Inclusive Dance of the Center “Oduhotvorenie” in the Yershovo rest house near Moscow started its work again. For almost 10 years, the participants of the dance studios "Oduhotvorenie" and other inclusive groups, as well as their parents, teachers and volunteers gather in an old estate near Moscow to not only plunge into the world of dance, but also to communicate with old acquaintances and find new friends.
The main event of the first day is the traditional evening of dating, on which everyone had to not only introduce himself, but also tell about himself in the language of dance. Next, work days began, where the main place was occupied by dances. In the morning - an hour of warm-up plus an hour of group classes, towards evening - another half an hour of little-group and individual training sessions, during which choreographers Leonid Tarasov, Natalia Golovkina, Ekaterina Zaytseva and Maria Vladimirtseva worked with each studio player on a special plan.
However, in the Center «Oduhotvorenie» an individual approach is the basis of all occupations. Here are engaged young people with various forms of disability.
For them, classes in the “Oduhotvorenie” studios are not a step in mastering their skills only, but rather a way to discover their own capabilities, to enjoy their own, albeit small, successes. And the main thing is to experience all this things not alone, but in the company of other people - kind, empathetic, ready to help and support at any moment.
In the schedule of the School of Inclusive Dance there were not only dances, but also various classes in decorative and applied arts.
Part of the students chose for themselves the lessons on felting from wool, where elegant necklaces and interior decorations were created.
For another group architect and artist Elena Timofeeva offered several ideas how to make original ornaments for the house and souvenirs for gifts to friends from the most unexpected things.
The completion of the School was the reporting concert. Every student took part in it. Preparation for the concert was conducted in group classes. For some student, the concert was the first public performance, and the choreographers put a lot of effort and ingenuity to find a role for everyone in which the student could feel most comfortable.
At the end of the course was a test lesson. It was handed over to everyone who was trained: studio students, volunteers and even many parents. (They took part in the final dance “Bears”, which choreographer Natalya Golovkina put on her favorite song “Somewhere in the White Light ...” from the film “The Caucasian Captive”.) They also took the test all together - the ratings were given a warm applause, who met and saw off the dancers.
The lesson began with warm-up and improvisation in pairs. Then the novice dancers, with the support of more experienced comrades, showed the waltz steps that they had mastered during their studies at Ershovo. Then came the turn of experienced dancers. They showed to beginners and parents three dances - a slow waltz, jive and samba.
The students got their final marks from the parents - the test was passed perfectly!
